We know that those of you who attended our weekly Ancestry program (kindly facilitated by Pat Lavoy every Wednesday) have been unable to access the Ancestry Library Edition database due to the ordered closure of our facility during the COVID-19 quarantine, and thanks to the people at ProQuest, we are now able to offer you this service remotely from your very own homes!
Just go to this page and enter the first 5 digits of your library card number for access. This remote access will not be permanent, but it will last until the end of April, and be re-evaluated on a monthly basis to determine if it needs to be extended. And if in the process of uploading to your family tree you come across any photos you'd be willing to lend to us for digitizing, please consider setting them aside for when we reopen and arranging to bring them in to be scanned on our Digital Archive.
For those of you who haven't been able to make it out to our Ancestry program yet, this would be a great time for you to go on to the Ancestry database and take a look around!
Hope everyone is well. We are managing okay here in Quinte West. Take care.
