We are pleased to announce the initial reopening plan of the Hastings Highlands Public Library.
The new operating hours, which take effect as of Monday, September 28th, are listed below:
Mondays – 11:00 am to 1:45 pm
Tuesdays – 11:00 am to 5:45 pm
Thursdays – 11:00 am to 5:45 pm
During the above hours, patrons can come to the library to use the computers or browse in the stacks. Computers can be used for business purposes only and are booked for 30 minute time periods depending upon demand at the time of use. If you would like to reserve a computer time, please call (613-338-2262) or email (hhplcurbside@gmail.com) the library to set up an appointment. All programming is currently postponed and the gym is unavailable for use.
The HHPL is continuing to offer pickup service five days a week from Mondays to Fridays. Since pickup service commenced at the end of May, there have been over 160 pickups. If you are interested in using this service, please call (613-338-2262) or email (hhplcurbside@gmail.com) the library to set up an appointment.
The staff have put excellent sanitary measures in place to ensure the safety of all of our patrons. Please remember that we do require masks to be worn in the library and ask that patrons maintain physical distancing and use the hand sanitizer provided.
There is a maximum capacity of 10 patrons in the library at one time. To ensure safe practices, individuals under the age of 16 need to be accompanied by an adult at all times.
We are looking forward to seeing all of our patrons again! We have continued receiving our monthly orders of new books, so we have a good supply of current materials for your use.
Welcome back!
