As of September 14th, the Hastings Highlands Public Library will be open to library users by appointment only to use the computers. Computers will be reserved for important professional or personal business only at this time - no games. Those wishing to borrow books will still be required to use our curbside pickup services at this time, and the building will still be closed to the public. Our computer usage by appointment will be on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays starting at 11am with an exact schedule to follow shortly.
30 minute time limits will be enforced to use the computers, but depending on availability extensions may be requested at the end of your appointment. This also applies to those bringing their own devices in to the library. We have 5 computer stations available, and 3 device work stations. The Wi-Fi is still available from outside the building if these spaces are taken.
Some changes have been taking place at the library as we prepare for reopening to the public. Casual seating and toys have been removed, a sign in/sanitation station has been set up at the front entrance, and sneeze guards have been installed at the front desk and around the computers. Masks will be required upon entry and may be provided if you forget one. You will also be asked to sanitize your hands upon entry.
We will also be releasing an updated library hours of operation schedule before reopening, so stay tuned for that!
