A local group of musicians who meet in the library every Friday morning to perform together joined us on Friday, June 24th to celebrate the launch of our very first "Library of Things," an Instrument Lending Library featuring a variety of instruments that will be available to the public to borrow with their library card.
Our collection of instruments currently includes a children's violin, guitars, ukuleles, an accordion, a dulcimer, and several handheld percussion instruments such as shakers and tambourines. While some items are available for borrowing now, others will become available at a later date.
We would like to take this time to thank our generous community partners for supporting the development of this collection to support music literacy in Hastings Highlands.
